Standing Frame
The Standing Frame is used by individuals with traumatic brain injury, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, muscular dystrophy, spinal cord injury, stroke, and multiple sclerosis. It provides alternative positioning for those that cannot stand upright independently.
Sitting for several hours daily is unhealthy for all people but for those that cannot independently stand, it has a tremendous impact on the health of the individual. It can result in pressure sores, poor blood circulation, urinary track infections (UTI’s) and osteoporosis. Standing helps prevent secondary complications and provides many health benefits.
