Massage Therapy

A wide variety of techniques can be incorporated into an effective treatment plan for individuals coping with a neurological diagnosis or injury.

Massage can help with muscle tone changes resulting from spinal cord injuries, relaxing painful distortions that can occur. It can benefit muscle function, flexibility, range of motion, muscular tightness and increase circulation. Exercise and stretching massage can provide relief for those confined to a wheelchair.

Integrating Craniosacral Therapy (CST), using light touch to manipulate the joints in the cranium or skull, increases the movement of the cerebral spinal fluid in the brain. CST can also be used on parts of the pelvis and spine. Along with reducing physical pain, massage contributes to improved mental health and wellness, decreasing anxiety and depression.
