Hunova is a robotic aid used by our physiotherapists that supports rehabilitation and functional sensory motor evaluation of the lower limbs and torso. It is often used for after-stroke functional re-education, for the treatment of degenerative diseases of the central nervous system, and with those that have lesions of the peripheral nervous system.

 

Depending on the exercise, the patient controls with the different parts of their body (ankle, knee, pelvis, trunk) the avatars generated on the screen in different gaming modes and versions. Exercises include postural control, balance, core stability and proprioceptive exercises (exercises that are done off balance in an effort to develop the strength in stabilizer muscles). Hunova makes rehabilitation an entertaining activity that is motivational.
