Synaptic’s Breathe Long COVID-19 Support Program was started to help the influx of people dealing with Long COVID symptoms. Relevant studies indicate 10% of people who have had COVID-19 have experienced prolonged symptoms. These include a series of health problems persisting for months or years after the onset of COVID-19.

What is Long COVID

Long COVID, also known as post-COVID-19 syndrome, chronic COVID syndrome and long-haul COVID, is a condition characterized by symptoms appearing or persisting after the typical recuperation period of Coronavirus disease 2019.

Long COVID can affect nearly every organ system resulting in respiratory system disorders, nervous system and neurocognitive disorders, metabolic disorders, cardiovascular disorders, gastrointestinal disorders, and mental health disorders.

Long COVID's Impacts

Many patients’ quality of life is diminished because of Long COVID. Physical functions diminish and there is a significant impact on mental health. Many patients report they are unable to fully return to work or execute their typical daily routines.

About Our Breathe Long COVID-19 Support Program

Synaptic’s Long COVID Recovery Program helps define a recovery path for COVID-19 patients to maximize their abilities, while facing complex health challenges. It provides a strategy to reduce the impact on our healthcare system from the legacy of an unknown illness.

The program is a multi-disciplinary, 8-week virtual program that can be immediately implemented. Those interested will be screened for eligibility.
